I am a Clinical Therapist with a love for laughter and humour, so you can expect a safe, friendly, and welcoming environment. More specifically, I am someone who believes that life is too short for sorrows and sometimes we all need that extra help to overcome our fears, anxieties, and challenges that prevent us from living or transitioning into our best life.
Are you feeling stuck? Have you come for that extra push? Need to take back control of your life? If yes, then I am so glad that you are here because, Recovery happens here! Whether you desire support with managing stress, making sense of life challenges, healthy relationships, sex and sexuality; wanting to heal from emotional injuries and trauma, struggling with your mental health or even just a difficult life transition, I am able to meet you where you are on your life journey. We will collaboratively find lasting and sustainable solutions to overcoming identified challenges.
My practice is grounded in therapeutic alliance and self-determination. This means that 1) we both share the responsibility of bringing your goals to life; 2) using trauma informed care to promote healing and recovery through emotional safety, trust, choice, and collaboration; and 3) as you become more comfortable with the process, empower you to draw on your strengths to take control of your healing.
As your therapist, I am deeply dedicated to supporting you live the life your desire using short and long-term therapeutic/ intervention approaches that are specific to meeting your needs, abilities, and where feasible culturally adaptable. I also bring into my practice a multicultural perspective from my experiences as a health and social care professional, a migrant, traveller and mother to an adult son and infant daughter. These experiences have helped me see the world from different cultural lenses and perspectives, and enabled me to develop an empathetic awareness of multidimensional client challenges.
