Ashlene has an extensive amount of education and experience within the mental health field. Ashlene has completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology and has a BA Honours in Psychology with a post-graduate certificate in Addictions and Mental Health. She works with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families with several psychological concerns and uses different psychotherapy approaches according to each client’s needs including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play-Based Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness. Ashlene provides counselling to people with depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, family issues, relationship difficulties, anger, marital problems, experience of abuse, and cultural adjustments. She has worked in child protective services, hospitals, and psychological centers. She believes that therapy is a collaborative process and assists clients to progress in life by identifying and setting life goals for better mental health.
