Fola Vickers, Pyschiatric Nurse
Fola is a Registered Psychiatric Nurse working in private practice as a mental health therapist. Her practice is holistic-based mental health support for people of colour in the local community. Her background experience is in crisis intervention, stabilization and intensive support. She is focused on bridging mental health and spiritual/cultural aspects of wellness for others. She is also an approved federal Non-insured Health Benefits mental health counselor for First Nations, Intuit and Metis people. She hopes to reach more people who may benefit from a therapist who comes from a paradigm of cultural and spiritual sensitivity.
Her interest sits at the intersection of spiritual emergence/emergency, psychedelic integration and psycho-spiritual experiences that lead to mental health and addiction issues. She believes in the importance of a trauma-informed approach to care as she provides others with a safe space to share and integrate their experiences.
She is available for sessions both virtually and in-person (office located 149 Street and Stony Plain Road)
