I’m Tina, a therapist with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor’s in Psychology. My background has given me both professional knowledge and personal insight into the challenges people face.

Professionally, I’ve worked in social services, mental health, and community support, supporting individuals from diverse cultures and life stages. These experiences have shown me the strength and uniqueness in every person’s story.

On a personal level, I understand how anxiety, self-doubt, and life’s big questions can feel overwhelming. Coming from a family of five, I’ve seen firsthand how uncertainty can shape us—but also how support can make a difference. My own journey has taught me that no one has to face their struggles alone, and it’s this belief that drives my work.

Today, I combine my education, professional experience, and personal understanding to create a safe, compassionate space for clients. Whether through therapy, advocacy, or simply listening, my goal is to help others find clarity, confidence, and their own path forward.

My name is Foluso Ogunribido and I have over five years experience working with children, teens, adults and families in mental health institutions. I understand seeking for help is not always easy and I would like to commend you for taking this courageous step to explore therapy for your wellness journey. While life presents us with various challenges, sometimes we can feel overwhelmed or stuck in patterns that hinder our growth and happiness, I am here to support you every step of the way with compassion, respect and a safe space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences without fear of judgement.
My areas of expertise include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Internal Family Systems and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and culturally-informed therapy. I support clients with depression, anxiety, trauma and other behavioral issues.
I believe in the power of empathy and connection in the therapeutic process. By working collaboratively, we can explore your concerns, identify your strengths, and develop effective strategies to help you navigate life’s ups and downs. I am looking forward to support you in your journey towards positive change and emotional well-being.

Greetings,

I am a registered provisional psychologist dedicated to providing individuals of various backgrounds and individuals from Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities
culturally informed trauma therapy. With a deep understanding of the unique experiences and challenges faced by marginalized populations, I am committed to creating a safe and inclusive space where clients can explore their traumatic experiences and work towards healing.

I use evidence-based therapeutic techniques, tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. I understand that trauma manifests differently within different cultural frameworks, and I am committed to integrating culturally relevant practices to ensure effective treatment. Together, we can address the emotional, psychological, and social impacts of trauma, whether it be from personal experiences, historical trauma, or systemic oppression.

My approach to therapy is rooted in cultural sensitivity, respect, and empowerment. I draw upon evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions, including Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), narrative therapy, and mindfulness tailored to the specific needs of each individual, taking into account their cultural background, values, and beliefs. Together, we can address the emotional, psychological, and social impacts of trauma, and the intersectionality of identity and trauma whether it be from personal experiences, historical trauma, or systemic oppression. I strive to support clients in their resilience, growth, and healing journey.

Whether you are navigating the impact of intergenerational trauma, anxiety, stress, grief and personal hardships, I am here to offer you an empathetic ear, a nonjudgmental presence, and the tools necessary to navigate your healing process. We can cultivate a therapeutic relationship built on trust, collaboration, and understanding.

Welcome to the journey of self-discovery and healing. I’m Dr. Cedric Benning, a dedicated and passionate provisional psychologist with over five years of experience in the field of mental health. My professional journey has taken me across borders, allowing me to gain valuable insights and cultural perspectives that enrich my practice.

My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, compassion, and a deep understanding of the human experience. I specialize in providing clinical psychological services for individuals of all ages, from children and adolescents to adults. My therapeutic toolbox includes an eclectic and integrative blend of modalities with a focus on trauma-informed care. While I draw from various therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioural therapy and clinical hypnotherapy, I tailor each treatment plan to meet the unique needs and goals of my clients.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse populations in a variety of settings, including clinics, rehabilitation centers, and research institutions. The insights generated during my clinical experience have reinforced my belief that mind and body are parts of a greater complex interrelated system, and in order to reach optimal levels of health, we will, together, venture to address both the psychological and physical aspects of your life. Whether it’s supporting individuals coping with trauma, anxiety, chronic pain, depression, or life transitions, my goal is to create a safe and nurturing space where healing can unfold.

My commitment to ongoing learning and professional development ensures that I stay informed about the latest research findings and therapeutic techniques, allowing me to provide the highest quality of care to my clients.

Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, I invite you to embark on this journey of growth and transformation with me. Together, we can navigate the challenges you’re facing and uncover the strength and resilience within you.

Thank you for considering me as a partner on your path to healing.

I’m currently accepting new clients. I work with adults and adolescents who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, stress, self-esteem, life transitions, and other challenges. I also do couples counselling and pre-maritaI assessment and counselling. I use a range of therapeutic techniques that are best suited to each client’s needs. I’m excited to incorporate Virtual Reality (VR) into my practice alongside other therapeutic techniques like CBT, DBT, Mindfulness. Our VR therapy services offer an innovative approach to mental health and well-being, combining traditional therapeutic techniques with immersive and interactive experiences.

My approach to psychotherapy is client-centred and I help clients recognize their strengths, regardless of their past experiences. I aim to create a collaborative and non-judgmental therapeutic environment that respects each client’s unique cultural and existential context. I hold a Doctorate degree (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology.

It’s common for people to ask me why I left a successful career in IT management for clinical psychology. The answer is simple: compassion and passion. I prefer working with people to working with machines, and I’m passionate about helping others achieve their goals. My calling is to support people on their journey towards self-discovery and personal growth.

Hello!

My name is Ruta and I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist with Rise Above Psychological Services.

My parents immigrated to Canada from a small country in Africa called Eritrea in the early 80’s and I’ve had the privilege of growing up on Treaty 6 land. My passion for mental health began with my interest in understanding the impacts of intergenerational trauma on BIPOC communities and how using a holistic lens and honoring one’s whole self can support us on our path of healing and growth.

I believe that everyone has a unique identity and I like to support clients by being present and providing a safe and non-judgemental space. I work from a collaborative and culturally sensitive lens, incorporating different modalities to best fit my clients needs. This includes, trauma informed practices, mindfulness, EMDR, trauma focused CBT, DBT, art expression, play therapy and person-centered therapy. I currently work with individuals ages 10+ and groups.
