A practicum student is someone who has finished all the required course work from their institution and can either be an undergraduate or graduate. They draw experience from hands on, meaning they work with clients/people directly to gain experience. They must be under a supervisor and have supervision at least once a week. The debrief is to get feedback that helps improve the skills and serve clients better. A Practicum student is a learner that starts from the place of transferring their textbook knowledge into reality. When working on site the student gains knowledge of the professional practice by either observing the supervisor group debriefing or carrying out the practice with clients.
