MACP Intern I am completing my Master of Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and attaining my internship hours under supervision. My educational background in Management, Nursing, Mental Health -inpatient psychiatrist setting, and Counselling Psychology has allowed me to deliver exceptional individual and group support services to diverse cultural groups. Approach to counselling ; My approach to therapy focuses on helping the client to feel comfortable, safe, and understood. I also create a non-judgemental and inclusive space for clients while assisting them in viewing aspects of life positively. I take a person-centred approach because clients are the experts regarding their own lives, and my role is to walk alongside my clients, support and guide them through therapy. I am also interested in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT),solution-focused therapy (SFT), and Strength-based Therapy.
