Seeon values helping others and creating a supportive, safe environment for healing. His experience and commitment to fostering open, vulnerable communication is valuable, especially when it comes to families and individuals navigating emotional pain.
Clients have the option of choosing a faith or non-faith approach which is a great way to respect each person’s unique needs and beliefs. When people know that they will not be judged or excluded they are more likely to seek the support they need and feel safe in the process. It’s crucial for mental health services to be accessible to all.
Hi! My name is Sharon and I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist committed to supporting individuals on their mental health journey with care, compassion, and cultural sensitivity. I am passionate about creating a safe, affirming space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to show up as your whole self.
I grew up in an African community where conversations about mental health were not often had. That experience shaped my deep commitment to challenging stigma and increasing mental health awareness. I believe that therapy should be accessible, affirming, and rooted in understanding the complexities of culture, identity, and community.
My practice is grounded in an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and intersectional lens. I understand that healing does not happen in isolation—it is connected to culture, history, and lived experience. I work collaboratively with clients to unpack emotional challenges, build self-awareness, and move toward growth and resilience.
Life often takes us through difficult and unexpected paths—loss, anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, or simply feeling stuck. I started Cherished Pathways Counselling Services because I believe that no one should have to walk those roads alone. My approach is grounded in compassion, respect, and a deep understanding that every person’s journey is unique. Whether you’re facing a sudden crisis or a long-standing challenge, I offer a safe and supportive space to explore, heal, and grow. Together, we’ll walk your path—one step at a time—toward clarity, resilience, and emotional wellness.
I support individuals, couples, and families navigating life challenges like addiction, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and life transitions. My trauma-informed, client-centred approach offers empathy and practical strategies.
I’m Tina, a therapist with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor’s in Psychology. My background has given me both professional knowledge and personal insight into the challenges people face.
Professionally, I’ve worked in social services, mental health, and community support, supporting individuals from diverse cultures and life stages. These experiences have shown me the strength and uniqueness in every person’s story.
On a personal level, I understand how anxiety, self-doubt, and life’s big questions can feel overwhelming. Coming from a family of five, I’ve seen firsthand how uncertainty can shape us—but also how support can make a difference. My own journey has taught me that no one has to face their struggles alone, and it’s this belief that drives my work.
Today, I combine my education, professional experience, and personal understanding to create a safe, compassionate space for clients. Whether through therapy, advocacy, or simply listening, my goal is to help others find clarity, confidence, and their own path forward.

She is passionate about making sure that everyone has access to the necessary information and resources they need to look after their mental health. She believes that people are facing mental health issues, but that due to many factors, this topic is not being openly discussed.
Atsimbom has worked with several mental health organizations in Africa, Europe and the Calgary area, and is now leveraging her experience to give back to her community. Her competence in using various counselling modalities has informed her practice in counselling children, youth, adults, and couples.
“I operate using a culturally sensitive lens and understand how important faith can be to some people. I incorporate aspects of my client’s unique cultures into therapy as they request. This enables me to build rewarding, therapeutic relationships with my clients. My goal is to meet my clients where they are”, (Atsimbom).
No matter where you are on your journey or what challenges you’re facing, you are welcome here—exactly as you are. I strive to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and understood, with trust, authenticity, and cultural understanding at the core of my approach. Through curiosity, collaboration, and a touch of humour (because therapy shouldn’t feel so heavy all the time!), I aim to support you in a way that honours both who you are now and who you’re becoming.
My practice is rooted in an anti-oppressive, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and intersectional lens. I am deeply committed to working with individuals from all walks of life, with a particular passion for supporting Racialized and LGBTQIA2S+ communities. I take a holistic approach to mental wellness, recognizing the deep connection between mind, body, culture, relationships, and identity. By drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities, I tailor each session to fit your unique needs and goals.
At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens in relationships. I take the time to truly understand your story, creating an inclusive, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, cultural identity, relationships, or other challenges, I’m here to walk alongside you.
